The Your Home website provides information for designers, builders and householders about how to design, build and live in an environmentally sustainable home. It includes information on designing for your climate, energy use, water use and material use. The many case studies present diverse real life examples of sustainable homes around Australia. The Your Home website is managed by the Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency.
The Living Greener website provides information for householders about living more sustainably and reducing environmental impact. It includes information on programs and financial support available from Australian, State and Territory Governments. The ‘Save energy’ section of the LivingGreener website looks at actions that can be taken to use renewable energy sources and be more energy efficiency at home. The Living Greener website is managed by the Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency.
The business.gov.au website is an online government resource for the Australian business community. It provides information about business planning, licencing and registration procedues and business support programs. business.gov.au is coordinated by the Department of Industry, Innovation, Science, Research and Tertiary Education with the support of state and territory governments.
Lawrence Berkley National Laboratory
The Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) is a member of the national laboratory system supported by the U.S. Department of Energy through its Office of Science. It is managed by the University of California (UC) and is charged with conducting unclassified research across a wide range of scientific disciplines and technologies.
LBNL has prepared a variety of industry sector energy efficiency assessments, and industrial technology system energy efficiency assessments. In addition, LBNL’s China Energy Group has produced several energy efficiency best practice guides and handbooks.
UK Carbon Trust
The UK Carbon Trust is a not-for-profit company providing specialist support to help business and the public sector boost business returns by cutting carbon emissions, saving energy and commercialising low carbon technologies. The website includes a range of case studies and guidance materials on how to implement energy efficiency and emission reduction projects within a company.
