The Clean Energy Council is a peak body representing Australia’s clean energy sector. It is an industry association and advocates on behalf of its membership in the fields of renewable energy and energy efficiency policy development.

The Clean Energy Council operates nine directorates consisting of representatives from member companies to advise the council on policy and industry development issues in specific areas of the clean energy industry. These directorates cover wind, solar PV, energy efficiency, solar hot water, the energy grid, network, bioenergy, emerging technologies, international and hydro.
